Distributor Question

I have an 1974 888 302 Mercruiser and I am having trouble determining what make/model of distributor that I have. I cannot see any casting numbers on the side of the distributor (I guess that is where they would be). The only thing I can say is that I have a clamp down style cap. Just not sure if it is a Prestolite, Autolite, Mallory, or Merc distributor. Can anyone give me some advice on how to determine this?<br />Thanks

Feel around the back if you cant see it, as there should be a tag on it somewhere

I have a 73 searay with 888, 302.My mallory distributor, has a tag on the back that i had to use a small mirror to read. J
