I have a 20' Fibra circa 1968 and I want to be able to dive off of it.

While I am thinking of a Garelick 4 step ladder like this:

I worry that I will have to have it out of the water too much to be able to get off of it and into the boat. Possible solutions:

Garelick Dive Ladder
Custom Dive Platform with custom Ladder
Custom Dive Platform with Garelick ladder

Do you have any thoughts or other solutions? I would love to read them. Also, if you are in South Florida/Keys and know of a good custom fabricator I can go to. I want to buy an aluminum welder, but I would have to justify the cost to do that.

The Garlick is available in a 4 step and a 3 step and a even a 2 step. There are also these:

And I like these:

We have been using a Garlick 3 step for a while now with good success. The single pole ladders are much easier for diving than the usually telescoping boat ladder.

Many people remove their equipment before entry while still in the water, since neither of us are very large even still geared up we are not close to the ladder's weight rating.

Oh, like the boat, like it better with a bracket and a 150 outboard on it but still, really nice boat. When you are done with it I am sure it will be spectacular.
