DIY Aluminum boat plans?

I'd love to buy a new 16' Lund, Sylvan or the likes but I don't have those kinds of dollars. I'm wondering if there is any good plans available for modern, deep & wide V hulls. I have the equipment to build one, but not the boat building knowledge.

Does anyone know where I can get plans?

Have you considered simply restoring an older hull? Much simpler and cheaper, and a restored hull can be as good as, if not better, than a new one.

That is an option also. I have been considering the older Starcraft boats as well
