Hi Guys,

I just installed a new transom on my boat. I usedSeacast..WOW this stuff is great! It is very expensive though. But this stuffis VERY strong and water does not penetrate it so I don?t need to worry aboutthe transom anymore. My question is do I need to put a cap back over thetransom. I poured the seacast then tucked biaxial cloth about 3" from thetop of transom. Then added more secast and caped with pb and then CSM. Itturned out great and I think I could run my truck into it and it would notbreak. Do I need to cap the transom?????????????

It had an aluminum cap over the top.

Ok, that's kind what I thought you were meaning. It's all about cosmetics. If she were mine. I would want it to be there just for the "Finished" look. As for sealing or structure, not needed.
