Do I need a garage for a rebuild on a tri hull?

Ive been looking at restoring a '73 starcraft tri hull. im looking at going all the way down to the stringers , but i dont know if i should have a garage or not? what does everyone else think?

well first off let us know where you are going to work on it? How much outside space do you have? Do you run into city limitations on projects outside?

Right now We are doing a trihull in the driveway and we have the cap in the garage. So far no one has complained. To answer your question you don't HAVE to have a garage, if you have an outside work place then you can always do like us and build a makeshift tent for grinding. We used pvc pipe to make a frame and a 4 or 5 mil painting sheet.

I say yes. You need a garage.

But don't let that keep you from doing it outside.

I've got plenty of room , i just moved to this new house which is located off of a highway , both neighbors are over 100yds away , and one is a boater himeself ( dont think ill have problems there!). i moved from a house that had two garages and a full pole barn / shop. i was just curious about the curing on the fiberglass resin , and how it would react to the temperature changes from night to day and so forth?

OOOOOh haha ok well I am in southern cali so right now its in the 90s everyday. We are working on the boat where the neighbors are 20 feet away haha. All of our fiberglass we lay up outside and if its windy we push it into the garage for a few hours. Hope that helps a little bit.
