do I need a long shaft, or a short shaftfor my '89 1500???

I have a 1989 capri 1500 which I need a motor for.

does anyone know how I can find this out? (I don't have the boat with me)

It's at the cottage. I'm here, trying to track down a motor for it.....but thanks!
