do i need a new prop?

How do i know when i need a new prop?? I have a 1967 20 hp johnson. the motor runs great! when i but the motor in foward position the boat doesnt move, and i know its in gear cuz i can feel the motor kick in gear.. if feels like the prop shaft is turning but the prop isnt.. do i need a new prop? how do i know if the prop i have has gone bad?? is there and specific things to look for??

Shear pin did it's job most likely. Does the prop still look like it should? If so check how it is held on, larger out boards have splines with hubs, smaller ones have soft pins or keys to shear off and protect the
motor
