Hello all,
I am converting a 1992 v4 120Hp Johnson to a conventional fuel pump. I am using OMC 438559 fuel pump. Do I leave the
Pulse fitting on the block and connect that to the vacuum side of the pump or do I replace pulse fitting with a straight barbed fitting for the pulse line?
Thanks

The pulse limiter is a " flow fuse " to protect the VRO pump from high pressure pulses.------High pressure pulses in the VRO pump would make it a " small atomic bomb " due to the size and flimsiness of the pieces.-----For a regular pump you do NOT need the pulse limiter.

Thanks racerone,
So what you are saying is for me to replace the pulse limiter with a straight barbed fitting and run a hose directly to the vacuum side of the conventional pump? What effect would the pulse limiter fitting have on a conventional fuel pump?
Thanks
