Do I really need that special wrench to remove the prop? That tool is like $80 and definitely not worth what they ask. It looks like I can take a socket and take it off with an impact gun...will that work?

Actually, I got the prop off but the new prop (14 1/4 x 21) didnt come with a hub. Am I suppose to pull the hub on the older and install it on the new one? If not, am I suppose to buy the hub and install it? Where do I get just the hub?

That wrench you link to isn't for removing the prop, it's for service on the driveshaft bearings. All you need to remove your prop, as you've probably discovered by now, is the appropriate sized wrench. If your prop is similar to mine, you can move the hub pieces to your new prop, or you can get replacement parts for around $30 or so at most prop shops.

take it off with an impact gun

RED FLAG!!!

you should probably not use an impact gun on your drive shaft a wrench or socket and ratchet should work suffeciently. also do not put it on tight it should have a little play when you put i back on about 1/8th inch.

but if you don't know how, then what do you do? I change mine on the water with a pair of channel locks, not the right tool but it works. If its on the trailer ,sure socket and wrench, don't over tighten, snug is good plus cotter pin.
