Do I Need to Link and Sync?

Hey iboats community, I was wondering what the symptoms of needing a link and sync are? I recently rebuilt the carb. in my '77 15hp Evinrude and she runs nice and pretty smooth but kinda bogs down at WOT. i get more power at 3/4 thottle. It has not been linked and synced that i know of for at least 6 years.

I think you should do it every time you re-install your carb. but ....... just have a look at your throttle plate and wee if it is fully open at wide open throttle. If it is I would remove your carb. and re-clean it and then do a linc and sync. Best of luck. Rick.

In addition to that it is critically important that the stator is in synch with the throttle.
