. . . here's the deal, 1977 SS 18, 150HP Merc 1500 Series OB, restoration started and aborted.
Motor condition unknown (dealer figures it to be 90's era 4-cyl, 4-stroke, fuel injected).
Hull has been stripped (which is what I would have done first anyway) and appears sound and all important pieces are present.
2-axle original Dilly brand trailer (overkill)
Asking price is $700

Let the opinions begin . . . and thanks in advance (first post, not new to tinnies)
Found the original 1977 info sheets on this site!
Not really interested in the motor, if it runs what's she worth to a willing buyer? What if it doesn't?

For 700 I think you are fine..Especially if that is infact a 4 stroker OB.
If she doesnt run, I bet parting it out could recoup a whole lot of your 700.00
I see the consoles are there...Windshield?

did part of this thread disappear? if i'm imagining that, here's my take on the boat:
well worth the $. worth signif amount NOt to have to gut and strip paint.....the nasty parts of the job are done, now you get to do the fun part. motor is in no way a 4 stroke, more like early 80s or older 2 stroke, and i'd be skeptical of any seller who made claims like that. check the transom wood before you start dorpping floors back in.

Seller is an idiot or the picture is wrong. That's a 70's 2 stroke. Nice motor though and real nice power for that boat. I'd buy it. However I would be concerned the seller ran it with no oil :O
