I'm getting ready to replace the fuel lines and connectors in my 1994 115hp Johnosn OB. I want to buy the assembly that icludes the squeeze bulb and the other fuel line that goes to the motor. They are beginning to look cracked.

What is a good brand to getand where?

Thanks,

Mirko

I always use OEM parts. They've (OEM) done the research and they know what works. They have a lot at stake.

You cannot go wrong with them.

When I ran a parts department (2 actually) I only stocked OEM fuel lines for outboards. Most people paid the small difference in price for a better quality line. If not, they could go one of the discount stores to get another brand.

Who makes the fuel line for OMC? If you get that brand it should be the same. I can tell you I bought some 5/16 at autozone and it was quite a bit thinner then the bombardier. I didn't use it. Got some made by Gates at Napa it seemed to be of the same stout quality. I'm with these guys though, I like the OMC
I would never buy one ot these aftermarket ball and hose setups, the OMC is much better for the same and sometimes less money
H90

Horse90,

It's not the lines, in particular, it's the connections and the fuel primer bulb that are in question.

Those components are of a different quality.

I've put together many a fuel system (required by length) using a NAPA fuel hose, but I've used OEM connections and bulbs.

DJ nailed that one. Those after maket fitting are junk. Worn out OEM fittings and junk after market fittings cause a lot of problems.
