Okay, I operate a farming company. The cost of good mechanics is sky high out west right now ($200.00+ per hour) . Every time we have a major component out of a piece of equipment we evaluate everything that may need to replaced in the near future. It makes good business sense to do so. I take that same logic to my toys. Once you have the engine out, inspect and replace things that needs it or may need it soon. I was asking whether I should consider changing the core plugs in a small block chevy that does not have an anti-corrosion cooling system. I have experienced core plug issues in equipment before. So, to answer your question directly, I was trying to determine is core plug leaks are common problem in those engines in this application. I got my answer. I'll inspect them and go from there.
