I am currently thinking of building a wake tower for my 1990 OMC (picture)

The only problem i am having is how to mount it on the boat because the sides are curved not flat.

I see some companies have swivel attachments for side mounting (too expensive) and i have seen people using heim joints or tie rod ends to attach too(hard to find) and people say they rattle alot.

so i'm looking for some ideas from people who have made there own tower or people that bought a tower and have an idea for side mounting it on this boat

thank you

This one looks like it might fit your needs. The sky is the limit and I hear it's really cheap to build and you can make the custom wakeboard racks to boot....

That one is sweet because it both acts as a tower and a ballast, and if it breaks off and the boat sinks, you can use it as a flotation device. It also serves as firewood if you and your buddies camp out and can't forage enough for a good bonfire.

You can obviously cut and sand pieces of wood to whatever shape and angle you need to match your hull.
Of course the best option will depend on what you are planning to make the tower out of and how much you are willing to spend.
You can get a tower foot kit here:

Whatever you decide to do, please take pics and share your project.
