Do you drive with your playpen cover on?

On my old Weeres boat I always traveled, about an hour each way, with the playpen cover on. When I got this new Manitou boat, the dealer said to never travel with it on. I told him I always did it before, and he said that all the wind and banging of the tarp can ruin the walls of the toon and rip off while driving.

Soooo,

Do you travel with your playpen cover on? Mine has four telescoping poles on the inside, and is a Manitou cover for the Manitou boat.

Thanks,

I do not drive with the playpen cover on. The inside of the boat and structure takes some damage if you do this. The poles bounce up and down and put unnecessary wear and tear on your boat and cover.

No canvas on the road. Stow it well.

You never travel with a mooring cover on a pontoon boat. They're terribly un-aerodynamic, and you can expect to lose the cover.

And a custom fit OEM Manitou cover might set you back $1,500 for a replacement.

Some people do, I don't ,only because my cover is too tall . It looks like a tall pup tent. They make some nice tight snap on covers . I'm really getting tired of putting on the cover every time I use it.
