do you got to pump the lower uint oil

i was told you got to pump the lower uint oil from the bottom hole so no air was in it i have a 1990 200 gt just put some seals and water pump kit in it and going to fill the lower uint up but i dont have a pump can i just put it in the top plug hole till it comes out

Not a good Idea if you plan on running it any time soon. When you top fill a lot of air gets trapped. Takes a long time to separate out.
Walmart near by? They usually have the pump in the department with the gear oils. just fill until oil starts to come out the top vent hole. Install the vent screw then pull the pump line and install the bottom plug.

Besides, filling from the top takes forever because you have to put it in almost drop by drop to prevent it from burping back out.
