I see that a lot of people are able to get on here during the day. I wonder how many of us work from home?

Workplace does not appear to be a handicap for most. Some of the MIA'S may be casualities of employer crack downs. How about it QC?

I'm "at work" right now. I'm also in my boxers and cleaning my gun. 8)

Yeah, I would think a lead slug in the right place certainly could. ;)

We could, but don't. I mean, the technology is in place (hi-speed internet & VOIP phones), but the company isn't as progressive as the technology at this point.

Guess they have visions of ZmOz-like behavior :p

I spend a good 80% of my workday staring into this dam thing, so a few minutes here & there thru the day spent on diversion is tolerated by upper mgt.

I work out of my home. I have a home office, but I am usually on the road. Strange situation going on here this week that allows for my participation. :/

Yup, home, airports and hotels for me . . . Started working a little out of the house in '94 and slowly the company got used to it . . .

Perth Australia this week. Sitting here in my Hyatt provided robe, polishing up my . . . eh . . . typing skills.

Better stated for my situation.

Trouble is, work days go from 8 hours to 20.

None of my business-wasn't asked.

But......

No Blackberries for me. Never.

Nobody is that important.

DWJ,

In the words of my boss: "Its not an option, it is a condition of employment." 8)

FYI, my boss is a heck of a great guy.

I guess I’m the lucky one... I don’t work from home, I work on my homes. :p (of course that gives me the hardest boss to please of all, my wife)

QC, are posting off of a blackberry?

I think that most quality hotels have reasonable hot zones, just regular wireless router hot zones.

Is that what they call a 'blackberry'?

A blackberry works off of the cell phone. Anywhere I can make a cell phone call I can surf the web, send an email, whatever.

Basically it is a high tech leash, but it is not my choice.
