Last fall my one of my dock lines broke and the bottom end of my 3L volvo sx drive ,when I pull the boat out there was a little gear oil so must be a tiny hole, how easy is it to disassemble this drive so I can get it weld and will put it back together and since I would have it apart what should I replace at this time. Thanks

Without the special tools, you can't take it apart and put it back together correctly.

there was a little gear oil so must be a tiny hole,

Can you see this hole, are you sure it's a hole or are you planning on welding everything that has a spot of oil on it?

I can't see any hole and have not seen any oil since I pulled it out of the water, Just figured since I seen oil when I took it out there must be a small hole.

Re: dock accident

Then drain the gear lube and pressure check the drive. If there is a hole you will find it.
