Now you have more power, and with a row boat with no keel.......she is going to roll. You are probably going to have to live with it until you run across another hull.

Re: Doel Fins

forgot to say , it does have a keel , about 2 inches of one , its a good handling boat , these are the only types of boat people on this side of the atlantic use
also if i take off the fins will i need to fill in the holes, i have an anode that i took off the engine to put the fins on

Re: Doel Fins

digi, How wide is your boat?A narrow round bottom can be really sensitive to prop torque.
I would try trimming out but I dont think it will help.Try it without the fin, also you could check to see if you can raise it virticaly If the fin is too deep it might cause problems.
A round bottom boat will roll a lot when turned
As a crazy kid in 56 I could roll my 14 ft Crestliner 10 hp.(with 3 keels) till water trickled over the side.A friend could do the same
with his big 17 Crestliner with a 35. Crazy and stupid but it was easy with those rounded hulls.
These were actually only semi rounded bottoms.
