When you are running at cruising speed, where should the fin be running in the water. Should it be on top of the water, 1 or 2 inches below the surface. I have never seen a reference to this. Thanks!
82Glastron, The Doelfin mounts to the cavitation plate, and the cavitation plate should run on top of the surface when on plane. Most are mounted about two inches above the keel(with engine down)line on the bottom of the boat. As water moves across the hull and reaches the transom, it will come up a little. With your boat zipping across the water, the doelfin should be at the top of the running surface.
