Antifouling Bottom Paint, especially thick copper base has a very rough finish,my boat is slower then I expect, just wonder if paint will affect my speed.
So the rougher is better ?How rough is too rough ??
WW II 80' PT boats [ 40 tons ] put 5 steps across the bottom. Speed went from 40 knots to 50 knots.
So the truth will NOT be found on this or any other web site about bottom smoothness affecting YOUR boat speed.
No. Rivets are too big for the effect we're talking about.so aluminum boats with 5 million rivets should be good for speed then right?
