does any one have any pics of knee brace repairs

i have a 21 ft starcraft and the knee brace has a crack and an ear broke off.
looking for suggestions, iwant to take it to a welder but want a plan

You could remove it completely and have it welded or maybe have a welder do it in place.

It happens, aluminum is not indestructible and it does fail. The other option is to have the welder make it stronger but.... no not substitute weld for rivets.

this is not a good photo but the ear on the left is broken.
i was going to get it welded back on and poss. have 2 alum l brackets welded for extra strenght

I see an awful lot of what appears to be salt corrosion. Prior to getting tha knee brace welded you might want to get ALL the welding done....ie patching areas eaten away by salt.

i cleaned up the alum. and coated all with csm and resin.
looked really bad but clean up was easy
