I have posted the similar question on the PWC forum, so please forgive the duplication, but there can be different crowd there
We are searching for 2009+ 21 feet long Yamaha Jet, but I am getting mixed signals re their engine reliability. We will be buying something with 150ish hours, so I wanted to know how their reliability stacks up against I/O. Yes, I know that it all depends on how it was taken care of, fresh water/saltwater etc, etc.
I guess I am simply looking for people who put a lot of hours on their jet boat and how many hours do they have without major issues (like engine rebuilds).
I did see several used Yamaha jet boats with 250 hours with one rebuilt engine. This concerns me a bit.
