Does anyone know how to properly time a 1990 150 evinrude vro?

The timing is a little off on my motor and they really don't cover the timing in the manual that I have. I have had people tell me how they think I am saposed to do it but I would like some feedback from the peope that have helped me the most here on iboats. Thank you.

Its called link & sync in your manual and must be done in the steps given.
