Hello friends,<br />I got this 1984 4.5 HP Mercury "Midshaft" (about 18 inches) -I think-, that just would not want to start. I am about to give up on this and reluctanly will resort to a commercial mechanic soon. I've already presented my problem on this forum on July 27 under the heading "4.5HP Mercury won't start"-hoping if anyone out there can give me some other suggestions to try...<br /><br />Otherwise; would anyone give me a recommendation for a reputable mechanic in Southern California; thanks!
