Does anyone know what year this Grew is

ok as I can see from other postings I am not the only one that has a GREW boat with NO HIN . So why is there no serial numbers on these boats? and the guy I got the boat from could not tell me for sure what year it is . But I am now the 3rd owner of the boat so does any one know the year......
here is what the boat has:
it,s a 19.4 foot grew
has 165 hp six cylinder
Pre alpha 1 leg .

Mine is a 1980 and yours looks a couple years older. The upper hull is flatter. Sometime late 70's

Hi Guys:

I'm in the same boat as you, so to speak! My hull has no number but it does have the original inline 6 engine, so I searched the engine serial number to come up with the best guess. Maybe you could try that.
Failing that, it looks to be around mid 1970's made under licence from Slickcraft, Holland, Michigan.

I found the age of my Grew 2 places:
1. the rear of the Mercruiser gauges had a manuf date (1968)
2. The fuel tank vent hose had a date of manuf (also 1968)

so I called it a 1969 for the purpose of registration

later I found a 1969 brochure that had an identical ss175 on the cover
aside from registration, I'm not sure why it would matter.
