I am sure that you need to wax it but the question is when. All paints have to be waxed for protection. Different paints required different curing time. This is not noted on Interlux's website. I recommend you contact their support / service people on Monday.

Interlux says it does not need it that it has uv inhibitors in the paint. They said
after a week or so that i can if i want to apply any marine wax and it will protect it but does not need it. I think i will apply it anyway.

I'd wait longer than a week, every time I've used it it took several weeks for it to achieve full hardness.
