What is an VRO?<br />Does my 85 Evinrude 140 hp has one?<br />If it doesn´t work, is any cheap solution for it?

Variable Ratio Oiling.<br />If your motor is equipped with VRO you will have a separtate oil reservoir somewhere in the boat.Your motor will also have two rubber hoses leading into the cowl.One for fuel and the other for oil from this tank.

Your motor was factory equipped with a VRO pump (which should have been upgraded to VRO II as part of a service program). As ob suggests, if you have an oil tank on board and two hoses enterring the cowl, you still have VRO.

if you can find out if it's the same as a 96 150 i know where you can get one cheap
