Does my new fuel pump fit?

I just ordered a new fuel pump for my 1973 115hp Johnson. I got the new pump from ishopmarine using the parts list thats on their site (its just like BRP). Anyway, the part # is 438559.

The reason why I'm wondering is that although the new one looked identical to the old one, the top of the pump (where it forms a triangle) is a little higher. The screw that goes in the top of the pump is supposed to go through the part and anchor into the silencer, but the new one's top hole does not line up with the silencer hole and the manufacturer has placed a screw in the hole that does not reach through the part.

I hope my description is not too confusing. Just wanna be sure that I do not have the wrong part.

438559 is the number I get also.Is the new part a Bombardier (OMC) part? If so I would expect a pamphlet inside explaining the difference. There have been 5 part number changes thru the years.

438559 will work, even if it doesn't fit exactly like the old one....

I thought that it was probably OK, just wanted to be sure. I guess the change the parts like that to make them more universal with other models.
