In title.....plus where can I buy tools if needed and or is there a workaround or another tool that might work?

What steps do you take to remove this prop? put in gear? use a 2x4 to keep it from turning etc.....

I see IBOATS has props on sale.....thinking about buying a spare....boat came with spare props but as you can see something happened to these and if it was me I did not even notice??? wonder if it is possible to knock that big of a chunk out of a prop and not know it? I have only had boat in open water and never less than four feet deep.

Not sure if I should start another post to ask this question but, what out drive do I have? I looked for numbers on the outside and found none ? I am trying to make sure I have accurate information about the boat for my ignorant questions:eek:

While I am being a pest with questions.....any idea what the pitch is from the pics? also is this a counter pitch?

This is what I am looking at for in the future are these the correct props? http://boatpropellers.iboats.com/Vo...n=Counter&pitch=19.00&chart=100&engine_id=523

Click Here To download the Owners manual for your engine. It shows how to remove and re-install the props. It may take a minute or two to download. Their site is always slow. It's about 10 MB.
Here is the prop tools you can order from iboats.

using a 2x4 is a whole lot easier than climbing in and out of the boat to shift gears when trying to hold the props from turning.

As far as what drive you have, according to your signature, you have a DP-C1

Find your local prop shop, they can fix those props up like new a LOT cheaper than you can buy new ones.

Not the best one I've seen. Most look like a fixed swivel socket, non-ratcheting.

Plus side... now you have one.
