Does the choke work off the oil injection on 2008 2 strokes?

I have a 2008 50 elpto with the push the key in to choke mechanism. My old merc when you push the key in you would hear a "click" from the ELECTRIC choke mechanism. I was wiring everything up today, turned the key and spun it over for a sec and pushed the key in, and did not hear that "click. I did not have the ears on so I was not going to crank it off, or have anyone near me to look and see if the choke linkage was moving at all. I routed the linkages back to what looks like the oil injection pump, it had a push rod that connected to all the carbs. I was wondering if the new models have "oil pressure powered" chokes, or if I just did not spin the motor enough to activate the choke. Thanks

Merc has adopted the 'fuel enrichener' system, a small fuel valve/solenoid is energized and fuel flows thru the spaghetti lines to each intake, enrichening the mix. No more choke butterfly plates and linkage.

I can't hear it but if I have a finger on it when my partner pushes the key in, I can feel the tiny little plunger move.
