Dog ear question for 85hp force

I have the rectangle type dog ears and just cant seem to get them to seat right on my lower unit, what type do yall use??? I hate haveing to fill up a barrel everytime I want to run the boat at the house...

I use the round ones and if they won't fit good I duct tape them in place.J
