Ok guys,,,,,,1st of all, thanks for the help.

2nd, as a few of you know, I'm to have back surgery here in a few. So it's been hard for me...

But we replaced the impeller in my VP 4.3 I was on side lines and was coaching sometimes blindly.....
My step son was doing his best he's 15
After the job was completed we tested her had she overheated......
After many YouTube videos and me crawling up on the boat we found out the hoses were installed opposite......
The return line was on the inlet port.......

I hobbled up on the boat several times to give him advice but the last thing to do was put the hoses back on and I was too tired,
So to sum it all up
I suppose haste, really does make waste.......
But she's up and running, and I'm gonna get 1 last boat day before my surgery,

Ya don't ever know how surgery is going to go, but this may be my last......I hope and pray not.
But thanks to all here.....

Have a good boat ride, Lawn.

It will be OK and you'll be back on the water. Good Healing.

Good luck to you brother. I feel for you. Every so often my back goes out and I'm in severe pain. It really sucks.
Modern surgery has advanced big time. In a lot of cases, it's done with minimal intrusion. Hope this is your case and you heal quickly.
Reading your story kind of reminded me of the time I had a broken hand. I was under my '69 Mustang installing the transmission with a cast on my right hand.
