Hello all,
I’ve already learned a lot from the older TRX posts on here - thanks! We picked this one up last week with a 115 Johnson OB. It has seen a lot of use but seems pretty solid and it gets up on plane with ease. There are some smaller cracks in the fibreglass around the top engine mounting bolts but the transom is still solid from the inside. The interior needs some tlc as well. Unfortunately someone tried to paint the faded brown gel coat with black paint. It was a very sloppy job and the paint is still tacky and rubbing off on the bumpers. Either it was done very recently or it was the wrong paint, or both. We like the black accent but it’ll all have to be sanded off and redone this fall.
Since this is our first boat, what we need is a manual and any tips/tricks anyone wants to share. We are in the Bancroft, Ontario area.
