E,
Go to the FiberGlassics website, they have the Brochures and info.....Then go to their Forum for much advice and to get ideas.
I sold my Pink 1961 Dorsett but still own two Glaspars and a Larson Thunderhawk Sr.
Mine had 6 stringers below the floor and didnt have much room for a below deck tank.Saddle tanks or a cross seat w/tank below it are much easier unless you know you have room.
Enjoy!
Tim M

Thanks Tim,
I'll check it out. I was suppose to do a lot of work on that boat this weekend because of the holiday. We got some good snow yesterday, I may have to postpone the opening of the deck. This will allow me maybe to get some more reliable information before the saws come out.

Re: Dorset Hull Repair

Its a 17.5ft runabout. 4 seats. I bought 5 years ago with a 115 merc. It was a bad purchase for the guy who sold it to me did not know much about it, and the under the deck would fill up with water, due to the fact the transom was rotted. How it held the Merc, is beyond me after i finally decided to cut the transom off.
It is a deep V which i liked for running around in at the mouth of the Conn River in Long Island Sound. However the engine is too big, sucks a lot of gas and it would be nice to update everything from the engine to the nav lights.
I have a pic that I should post somewhere. I actually started a blog today to keep me motivated in my progress with my boats.I could post the blog here once I get something put together. I'll have one there soon enough and Ill try get one here.

There is a space under the deck that I would like to install some belly tanks this should help my weight management a little and add me some extra capacity.
