Double Decker Pontoon: Upper Sundeck leaks

I have a 1994 Lowe 24' pontoon boat. It has an upper sundeck above. The problem I am having is after a few minutes of the kids jumping off the top, the upper deck begins to leak underneath along the sections/seams, dripping over everything below on main deck. I am considering sealing the seams with silicon caulk but wondering if that is a bad idea since if it would not allow the water to flow out of the upper deck. Any suggestion or other ideas to resolve this problem?

I honestly do not know. I have not been underneath during a storm but i bet it would leak. I do know for a fact that it does leak when the kids climb on top and jump off, over and over again. It will drip underneath along the seams running across the width of the sundeck. getting everything wet below..bags, seats, etc. etc.

Sounds like you need to reseal the upper deck. And try and control water runoff with the use of a scupper or down pipe maybe both. I could'nt stand water running down over the deck below. But then again, I have never owned a toon.

Yea same here, if you were around here a lot of people use a product that is common around the coal mines, its a 1/8 thick plastic sheet material that's all most indestructible, but other than that the only thing I can think of the white brush on stuff people use on RV roofs.

Before you seal it up , check for sort spots in the deck. You would not want a child ending up coming down on your head.
