I currently have a 1978 115 hp evinrude, and i'm thinking about going down to a 1977 70 hp evinrude. The 70 hp does not have tilt and trim, but my 115hp does. The tilt and trim on the 115 hp came off a 1983 with a 2 wire system. Could i put an '83 70hp tilt and trim on the 1977 70hp? My service manual does not tell me anything on this. Any help would be appreciated.
