I have a 1997 Wellcraft 19Ft CC fisherman and one of the two rear drains in the self bailing CC seems to be broken.Water does not drain out. I tried pushing a wire through but seem to be hitting plastic. Does anyone have a diagram on how this drain passes through to the side of the boat. Thanks

Re: Drain broken

Wow searching the forum seems like everybody with a 19cc is having the same problem. I brought this back to the top just in case you haven't fixed yours. Check out the other 2 posts on the same subject.

In that drain there is a floating ball about the size of a ping pong ball that keeps water from coming in from the outside. Odds are you are hitting that ball which acts as a check valve.

Does water flow into the drain but not come out the side? If so the drain is broken under the deck and you are draining into the bilge. You will have to pull out the rod holder box on the side of your boat to get to that drain and hose. If no water will flow into the drain from the deck then obviously the drain isn't broken but clogged. What I would try in this case is to put your water hose in the drain hole on the outside of the hull and try to back flush it.
