IS there a trick to draining a fuel tank I have an 16' 89 bayliner and access to tank seams very limited

Disconnect the fuel line from the engine at the fuel pump, or at the quick connect fitting.<br /><br />Hang the line over the back of the boat, into a gas can.<br />Squeeze the primer bulb to get it going.<br />Once started, it will syphon the gas out.<br /><br />This will be a gravity syphon, and will go slow.<br />The end of the hose has to be lower than the bottom of the boat.<br />If your hose is too short, splice on another couple of feet.

thanks roscoe to check the pick up screen would I disconect the hose at tank and un screw fitting is that the pick up tube with screen or filter on end
