Am draining my outdrive, 1995 5.7mercruiser alpha1 gen2, pull the bottom plug, top plug, lower drive. Am getting more drive oil out of top hole than bottom hole. Pull cap off resevoir, no change.....thoughts?
Normal, when running the drive will "burp" the air out from the top of the drive.Additional oil takes its place. Let everything drain out, refill from the bottom until it comes out the top hole.
Replace top plug and give it another pump or 2 to get the oil in the bottle to rise a bit.
