How do I get the fluid out of the trim motor? There's two flat head screws on it. Obviously the one at the top is the fill. Is the big one at the bottom the one to empty it??

By the way 1989 evinrude 40hp vro.

Bill Collector...please keep your posts together. You asked the same question in your previous post about your trim and tilt. If you need to get the post back to the top, just put a "^" in the message box and hit reply.

I see the fill plug, but I don't know of any outboard with a dedicated fluid drain screw for the trim system.I'm not trying to use big terms, just saying you don't drain them, normally.

If I wanted the fluid out of it I would look at removing the unit, removing the motor, and turning it upside down.

DHP

Why do you wish to do this ?
