I have removed the Manifold and Block drain plugs with no problem but these remaining hoses are difficult to access. Anyone have any suggestions? It was my understanding that even bumping the motor over without water to the out drive is bad news for the impeller however, the service manual indicates it's not a problem. Your thoughts? Thanks.

Cranking the engine over a few times will not burn up the impeller. Just don't start the engine without water. Even doing a compression test without water hooked to the pump is not a problem.
