i have a 1986 bayliner and having work done on it. the guy says it isn't recirculating the water right and says he can drill a hole in the hull to fix it. anybody know about this? i have ended up having to rebuild the motor. the man i bought it from last year said it hadn't 'been used in a while. just sitting for several months and he didn't know much about boats.just how to drive it... yeah!..i bet. but it is still a good boat.
thanks pete

Re: drill hole to recirculate...

Umm, well, drilling a hole in the hull will definitely help your water circulation. It will circulate water through your bilge, and through your carpet, then through your shoes.

What is your engine/outdrive combo? Let the forum users here help troubleshoot the problem. An engine rebuild on an '86 Bayliner? Careful what it's costing. Sinking $1000 into a $1000 boat may not be wise.
