Drive going up when engaging trottle

1998 23' Larson Hampton
Bravo III Outdrive
Quicksilver 3000 Throttle

Anyone have any suggestions on what to look for, it happened once or twice earlier in the year however it appears to be getting worse.

When I have the drive down and engage the throttle into forward (never tried reverse) the drive will come up and I cannot stop it even hitting the down buttons. It seems if I mess around with for awhile it stops. I personally think it is the throttle but I have no idea what to be looking for. Could it be the transducer on the drive? I assume not but any suggestion on where to start looking would be much appreciated.

If this only happens when moving the throttle then the wiring inside the handel and control box may be pinched.
