drive identification and parts

I pulled this drive off of my 1983 Holiday Mansion Barricuda and need to identifiy it. My best guess is it's a aq280 but the top of the upper gear housing looks like it came off of an SP.

I am also having problems finding all the seals needed to install the transom plate, including the exhaust elbows. The boat is powered by a 260a. Thanks in advance.

How about a pic of the transom shield. That is one ugly outdrive.

That 260A came with 275,280,280I,290.

​None have the "head" you show in the pic.

That's from a SP drive.

I imagine the transom is still a AQ260A

The transom shield pic will be posted sunday. I have seen outdrives worse, at least it's watertight.

Like jerry said, that is a 280 transom shield to match your 280 outdrive. Clearly, someone installed a newer upper gear box. I'll try to link the seals you're looking for in the next post.

#20 is the gasket for the transom shield.

I stripped the old engine today and had a chance to inspect the "donuts" that seal the bell housing. Would you guys consider them re-usable?

I've heard they can be reused, I think I would replace them if it were me. But I've never been in that deep.
