Hey guys wats up, I tested my motor in the tank and noticed my motor does not shift in gear. shut it off and noticed my drivepin broke in the tank. i replaced it before but I fabricated it . the dealer told me he did not have one so grind it down. I noticed that when I twist the tiller theres water coming out where it joins to the motor is this normal? why would the pin brake? It jumps out of gear sometimes

Jumping out of gear will do it, since sometimes it's followed by quickly jumping into gear.

Make sure you've got the right material, etc, for the pin. It needs to be stainless steel, 3/16" diameter 1-1/16 long.

theres no load its in a test tank. I think the shaft is a little wobbly. why is there water coming out of the side were the tiller meets the teeth underneath?

Oh, sorry about that. That's not supposed to be happening. Pop the cover and look around for a leak. Base of the powerhead, the head gasket, thermostat housing gasket, and exhaust cover gasket are likely culprits.

Sure, there's a load in a test tank. If it's jumping out of gera in there, it will Really jump out of gear on a boat. You got some worn out parts problems. As someone said, jumping out of gear and back in will snap the drive pin after just a few times. It's very common.
