drive shaft bearing on mercruiser alpha one 4.3

How do you remove the top bearing on the drive shaft in lower drive?
I made a tool to remove the retainer, but cannot see a way to remove bearing.
The lower drive is making a noise when running. When I turn the prop drive by hand it is quite, but when I turn the drive shaft it it is rough and growling.
Any info will be appreciated.
