Major problem is the drive shaft housing locked or frozen local boat shop tech says it corroded. I used a lot of pen oil overnight used a lot of force on remote stearing braket no movement, mechanic thinks it is locked some way. I can't find a way to get at the pivot pin. The manual on dyna-float on my model 28A looks different could there be some lock. Do I need to take the dyna-float suspension apart.

Re: Drive shaft housing frozen

hello
its worse than that Jim. its dead.
hahaha a little star trek humor. anyway now the fun starts. you will need to remove the power head and lower unit, then remove the exhaust housing from the motor motor mounts. then remove the lower mount yoke from the splines of the tiller shaft. then remove the tiller to clean the bushings in the swivel housing. it aint fun I hope its a fresh water boat.
good luck and keep posting.
PS I have used gojo in the grease fittings then used oxy/actylene to heat the bushing area and broken them loose before.
