Drive shaft roller bearing removal

Rebuilding an old mercruiser outdrive. Driveshaft is the one with the preload spring at the top end. Need to know which way the tapered roller bearing comes off. Toward the spring end or the pinion gear end. It seems kind of stuck so I need to know before I do any serious pushing. And thank you to whoever responds. I'm always amazed by the knowledge available on this site.

don't know which brg. your talking about. irrelevant though.
go the the adults only sticky or diy sticky, they're the same. very 1st and second thread on the i/o page. find out which service manual you need for your application, download it. inside the service manual are instructions for full tear down....which would include the answer to your question..
