Hi
I need to replace my driven gear bearings, in my manual I can see its done with the two halfes separated, I was wondering if its possible to do thisd without separating the two halfes?
Regards
Affa

That Bearing Also supports the top of the Input Shaft of the Lower Unit.......
It would be Impossible to remove with the Shaft in place........
Do it Right....
It'll only cost you a few minutes,+ 1 O-ring...............

I Guess you Found your Noise........

With all those metal shavings + such,
Now might be a good time for a Full Tear-down,+ Inspection,+ Reseal........

Thanks Bondo
Yes I found the source for the noise, I havent get it apart yet.
I was thinking off rebuilding the upper half, do you think thats good enough?
Is there anything I can flush the drive with in case there are any metal shavings hanging in the oil somewhere?
Regards
Affa
